96 Rev 3 GT T-Bar Turbo - £4250 ovno (maybe part x)

Post by oddshoes »

This is my second attempt at a for sale advert for my MR2 due to removing and selling most of the rare and expensive aftermarket parts.

She has been my pride and joy since April 2010. She is a Rev 3 GT T-Bar Turbo manufactured Feb 1996 in Super-White. I am a true MR2 enthusiast that been on the forums for nearly 6 years and can be found at many of the major meets and events.

The car was imported into the UK in May 2007 and was registered on the 31st May onto an N Reg. Not only have I modified her, I have maintained her well. In April 2011 (less than 5,000 miles ago), Luke at Pacific Works performed a full service on the car, including:

New cambelt/pulleys
New OEM Toyota oil pump
Oil change & OEM Toyota oil filter
New water pump
Coolant flush and Toyota OEM ForLife coolant
New fuel filter
Various new gaskets

Other recent work includes:

Replaced brake caliper
Handbrake adjustment
The aerial will be replaced before sale (recently broken)
OEM rev 3 alloys with new rear tyres (on w/c 12.03.12)

The modification replacements are:

Blitz SUS Induction
CT26 Stage 2 Hybrid turbo by Turbotechnics
J Performance Intercooler kit
HKS HiPower exhaust (Sounds very good on boost!)
Rev 1 black roof lining and associated plastics and t-bar shades
Speedhut Reverse ElGlow dials (light-up blue)
JDM front corner indicators
Single-vent conversion
Phoenix Power rear spats
JDM rear screen, quarter windows and t-bar Silver Man-In-Dandism tints
Aftermarket Steering wheel with TRD horn button
Clifford G5 (Thatcham Cat 1) alarm and immobiliser
Monitor Tracker from Tracker.co.uk
Blitz turbo timer (doesn't work with the alarm but still works)

I also have extensive paperwork for the car (unusual for a turbo)

At the end of this months I will put 6 months tax on her and I will put a year's MOT on for the new buyer. I am asking £4500 ono, may consider part-x on a NA

Now to let the pictures speak for themselves...

Enjoy!
Dave :D

After a weekend of driving her down to kent and back with no problems as per normal and getting about 320miles to a tank with the current setup I am putting 6 months Tax on her from the end of the month and might consider an NA in part ex too....

if you thinking about going Turbo this must be one of the best whats for you if we can work out a deal

new lower price and i will offer part x upto the vaules of 2K for the right car and I have a good opinion on what things are worth not only because of my 6 years with MR2s and the fact that my girlfriend just bought a UK rev4 sonic shadow with a years MOT and 6 months as a good benchmark, if you want to part x you mr2

Seems a good car this ..... Unsure on the price at 4250 :-k

Would be interested but too expensive for me. Some decent rev 3 turbos are going for 2500 to 3000 now with similar mods

If you do decide to drop the price alittle more then drop me a PM

Cheers for the opinon adamshaw, i know the price is high but i know how people like to barter too thats why it ovno  I have seen rev3 turbos with simular mods too for that money but none with the service work that i have had done (only about 5000 mile ago) which makes it worth that little more as theres no need to do cambelt or any of the other things like the pumps too which is expensive are to do, not to mention i am offering a years MOT on her as well. :D

I am a season mr2 owner and bought my first one back in 2006 and this is my 3rd now of which my 2nd turbo and is more than likely the best one I have ever owned. I am known to a number of owners on this forum and am actually a regional rep for the south east of england on mr2oc and have been for a number of years too this also shows my passion for these great little sports cars

I know what the car is worth to me and what i would sell her for why not drop me a pm with your offer but i wont sell for anything less than i am willing to take. In fact in might even keep her to be honest and put on my HKS EBC and up the boost to 1bar finally as she is just running actuor pressure and has done for a year now (this should see me at a rough guess to just shy of the 300 mark) :D :D
