looking for some new alloy wheels.
At the moment i have mk3 wheels but feel like i could do better
Pictures of a few sets 15"x6.5 all around the £300/350 mark
would like some thoughts on these wheels
Whatever you do don't get number two. They are absolutely shocking quality and look absolutely awful!
In all honesty though those are the ones i want!

Trouble is everyone has MK3 wheels, the main reason I believe is because they corrode badly so a lot of people get different wheels for their MK3 and sell the originals.
No offence but MK3 wheels are just so boring, it's almost become like standard fitment now.

Yes, have only had my Mk3 wheels a fairly short time Lauren
Not fed up with em yet
After having pepperpots on it for 14 years I think they make the car look massively better & I'm happy

I'm after a decent set of mk3 wheels, with or without tyres, so just holler if you upgrade.
I take it people fit a set of pre-facelift fronts? Or do they stretch the tyres a bit on the rears?
Cheers,
Jon
If you're after light wheels check out Yaris T-sport ones, I had a set on my Mk1 for a while (pics in my garage).
I think they weighed in at about 5kg without rubber.
Downside was that they were 5.5J I think and suffered from standard Toyota quality paint.
My favorites are no.4 these are made by "Work " a Japanese alloy wheel manufacturer, these are regarded as top alloys http://www.workwheelsusa.com/product.ph ... 0&wheel=87
I find "work" are the company who make the Equip 03 gold and silver wheels.
So should i go for looks of the Equip 03 but copies or the higher quality Japanese alloys?

I would say get the originals as they are far higher quality than the copies. They are silly expensive though. I want 03's for my AE86, but know it's going to cost north of a grand for the wheels alone!
