Driftworks Convoy to Silverstone

Times yet to be fully planned, but please put your name down if you would like to join me in a cruise/convoy to Silverstone for this great day out

A few meeting points could be worked into it but for starters those people coming from the S.E. could meet up at the now usual Thurrock Services on the morning of the event (2nd October).

not sure mate - i'll just put my laptop on and check autoroute

autoroute thinks it's 1h 36 mins - 97.4 miles and gonna cost £14.72 each way

I wish! i done £10 just going from Witham to Clacton the other day and that only takes about 35 minutes.

ok so what time do the gates open / the event start ?

just bought my ticket !
and they said "covered grandstand" ticket gets you in to any of the grandstands - so you can pick and choose where to view

Convoy starts at Thurrock at 7.45am - so be there at 7.30am

Meeting others at Pagnel services on M1 at 9.15am

i'm coming down M1 from north so is this the best meeting place???

Maybe a meet at last services / junction off motorway nearest silverstone so it will be a catch-all for everyone mostly?

how about Newport Pagnell Services on the M1 northbound (between J14 & J15)

J15a is the turn off we need to head across to Silverstone (15mins from M1 J15a)

what i mean is can i get from the southbound side of the pagnell services to the northbound side to meet you guys? as i will have travelled past J15 already!
Is it just me being confused or do you see what i mean. some sevices you cant cross from one side to the other. ( J15a northants one you can OR ARE WE TALKING ABOUT THE SAME SERVICES JUST USING DIFFERENT NAMES?)

No the Newport Pagnel is between J14 and 15

prob best to scoot down to J14 and turn back the half a junction and then you are there

those juctions are pretty near each other so it's not that much.
