K&N induction fitting, very quick question...

Post by riot68 »

Just took the rest of my airbox out and refitted the k&n filter, there was a hanging sensor, on top of the filter tube in the pic, there's a small hole on the back of the actual cone, does this sensor just push in there?

Cheers...

Yup, don't know if this was hanging or plugged in before I started mucking about. Still, in place now...

Goes to the cylinder type thing, sorry to sound thick as I have no idea what it is :D good luck. I have some nice red vac hose to change stuff over when i've cleaned up,but have now opted for a blue colour scheme DOH!...

How did you find the induction kit in the end? I had a K&N fitted to mine for a brief while. I thought it sounded awful tbh, there was a really annoying hissing sound every time you accellerated. Fuel consumption was affected a bit too...

I had a K&N on a custom pipe which moved the filter out to the vent fitted to my red rev1 for years, I liked the sound and the car made good power and torque with good fuel consumption.

I like mine, I like the hiss sound, just sounds like air getting sucked in to me, as for fuel consumption, have no idea, never measure it, didn't buy the 2 for economy either :D ...

Good idea on a custom pip too, to lower it down a little, might look in to that...

Hi, my k&n was on when i got the the car but the small tubing shown in the pic is not connected. That tube seems to go to a black cylinder attached to the side of the bay.
Weirdly this pipe from the cylinder on mine is plumbed in somewhere down low and i can't trace where it finishes.

All i wonder is what to do about the uncovered connector on the intake... Any ideas or just leave it? Cheers
