Fitted the new battery today, slightly wrong size but loads better than the crap low power one from previous owner and left over from my daily driver which I just sold.
While I was fitting new terminal that broke I thought the clamp could do with a paint, so metallic blue to match the Cusco front brace that's on the way.
Liked the colour so much I'm now repainting all the stuff from the engine bay that I've just painted red.
More soon...
Rear Cusco brace end repainted again this time in metallic blue and front one just arrived and ready to go on...
Also been having a go with the plotter to cut some vinyl stickers i'm going to put on the newly (metallic blue) painted xbrace...
Now just got to fit it all...
New Cusco front brace now fitted...
Cusco rear brace done and painted and stickered up xbrace back on, got rid of the rest of the standard airbox and gave it some new plugs too...
Thought I'd change the horrible custard yellow of my space saver today, so...
Bit of a rub down and some metal primer...
Metallic blue to match all the other stuff...
And a few coats of gloss top coat, hopefully get it all fitted back in tomorrow...
Got a lot of work done today, refitted the inspection panels after a good clean up and also refitted the spoiler after drilling a small hole in the bottom to drain the water, then...
Finally after well over a year the frunk trim is clean and refitted...
Newly painted spare wheel all in place ready for the MOT...
Also pumped up all the tyres ready, hoovered and polished the interior and did an oil and filter change too, should be good to go...
Always got plans
I have a new air filter pipe coming that's nice and shiny, want to clean up the engine bay.
Also got a new sub to fit, have stripped the passenger cubby box that had the OEM sub in ready, might have a go at that tomorrow (got the Civic i'm working on too).
Got another front bumper to fit with Midship badge to go one, will fit some black mesh I have ready when I do and fix one of the spot bulbs.
Then got to do some paint work and repaint rust proof the sills.
Saving up for all new suspension and polybushing.
then will save for a respray hopefully next year.
than might look at an engine swap
Always pays to have a plan. Also drives you crazy when you have to work, whilst you're desperate to be home achieving something you care about Looking forward to seeing it develop, as I know how satisfying it is to make progress
You should have said you needed subs, I've pulled the two 10" boxes out of my tubby, seeing them as unnecessary weight
