I pay just under 1k through Adrian Flux, been with them since my 2nd year of driving.

I live in Birmingstad
I'm 24 drove since I was 17
Clean Licence
6 years NCB
Never involved in a crash
Mods declared
8k miles/year

biggest thing is really my age and location so I assume your similar to me with your quote.

That quote is less than half of the cheapest (full) quote ive ever received. Can we swap?

Try A-Plan (Thatcham branch do the grey imports).

I am with them with and insured for a negotiated 20,000 miles/yr mileage as a daily driver.

I think most insurers dont expect these cars to be used as a daily driver or do high annual mileage so check any mileage limitations on any "classic" car quotes you get from any insurer.

Super, well thats a start. A lot seems to depend your location, it's proper middle class round where I live lol We bring the area down

There are drawbacks to Classic policys - Some will charge you for the year even if you cancel others will limit mileage etc. If your MR2 is going to be a second car with less than X miles per year and you are planning on keeping it for the year then go for a classic car policy.

I have all my no claims put towards our daily runabout fiesta ( which is £400 per year FC!! ) so my quote was based on zero NCD but they still honoured my 8 years, tell them you are a member of all the owners clubs also.

Mine was for a rev3 turbo with all mods declared and Ive had my fair share of points over the 9 years of driving.

Be interesting if you can beat that quote.

Woah! These prices are sooooooo low! Maybe it's because I'm only 19 and live next door to a ghetto :-k

Having spent a lot of time on the phone to Admiral over the last few days (on hold right now even) trying to explain various modifications to people who clearly don't have a clue about cars! I am defiantly going to a more specialist insurer at renewal time!

THEM - And whats that?
ME -Does your list have the option of intake?
