How often do you drive your `2?

How can you have a car like that and not take it out for 10 months!?!!

Done an oil change, filter and plugs and took it for a spin after 10 months. Forgot what an externally gated 35R, 700HP+ with RL TC banging away in an MR2 felt and sounded like!

Most weekend unless the weather is bad, then she sits nice and dry in the garage on the ctek.

I do about 4-5k a year.

I did 5k miles in the first year and less than 2k last year. Living in London, you sit in traffic for an hour before you can get anywhere so I use the train during the week.

That said I try to take it out at least every fortnight and I love every minute of it

i drive my rev 2 tubby everyday for 3 years.. doing around 12000-13000 miles each year so done around 36000-39000 miles

need to get my alternator fixed havent driven her since monday and feel a bit lost lol

Great info on battery condition stuff, i always leave my 2 with a couple of wheels chocked and handbrake OFF ! the design of the piston caliper seals generally ensures brake pads back off a tad but not the handbrake !! Memories of my Lotus Elan are drifting back...

Use my 1991 MR2 every day for a 75mile round trip commute, it never lets me down Still in now, rain I use it all the time and it is still in superb condition....what a car

Mine gets driven roughly once a month (it will be pretty much weekly in summer and show weekends).

My merc is a daily driver and the MR2 is just for fun.

To be honest most of my time is being spent re-conditioning MR2 parts atm I want a REV1 that is mechanically as sound as when it rolled out of the showroom

Love every minute of it. Especialy the looks as people try to work out what car it is (joys of a REV1).

Daily driver here. Bought at 82,151 approaching 13yrs ago and odometer is now at about 219191. Stands outside ready or is taking me places in all conditions.

Do approx 450 miles a week in mine. With the price of MR2s these days its cheap enough just to get another when its worn out so I'd get as much use out of it as you can :-)

Rev3 turbo, daily driven to work (20 miles A road) & taken on regular trips round the lake district on sunny weekends.

As it's my only car it limits what/when I can do maintenance work wise but I seem to fit it all in.

No point owning a car to not use it IMO

Used pretty much every day and it lives outside on the driveway. I'd garage it if I could, but it gets washed and waxed twice a week between april and october, and whenever its not freezing or raining in the winter! As funny as I am about keeping it in the best condition I can, its still a car and therefore it is there to be used

I've only had mine for about a month and a half. Most of that has been spent bringing it back to it's former glory, after spending 4 years sat for the previous 4 years (what a waste!). Now it's fully serviced and MOT'd and being taken out as often as possible, well 3 times a week. I must say, the transformation it's made, given a few good runs and a huge amount of time and TLC, has been staggering. It'll be purring like a kitten and scaring the big cats again in no time

Long term plans are to run it when the weather is fine, or when I need a boost fix and a reminder what real cars feel like. Modern German diesels are comfy and reliable but there's little to compare to the 2. It's a damn sight better than leaving your money in the bank, earning 0.00001%
