Headlamps won't pop up - help please!

Post by Trevmr2 »

Hi all, I 've had to wind both headlamps up using the red knobs, all the bulbs work correctly just won't go up using the stalk.

Any ideas where to start looking please?

A mate said it won't be the fuse because they're fused separately, and the fault developed in both lights at the same time.

I'd still rule out the fuses.

Your mate is a bit right. the BULBS are fused separately.

However the retract system is single channel, i.e. common supply to both sides.

Check out the 30A RTR fuse in the frunk fuse box.

Behind the headlights in the frunk. Used for lifting the headlights in an emergency.

Manual raise lower dial on back of headlight under frunk mate.

There is probably a cap covering the knob!

you got it. Its just because the bonnet or hood is a word typically used for the panel that allows engine access. With frunk its very obvious where you mean.

Id think with most MR2 owners if you told them to "pop the hood" they would have to clarify.
