hi from Philippe

Post by Philippe Gomés-10- »

Hello guys,

It's now some time I look at your site, I registered on your forum, and now I introduce myself.

My name is Philippe and I’m a 44 year old French MR2 owner.
I write poorly English (I use my memories of English learned in school and Google translator!). Please excuse my mistakes.

I live in Troyes, in countries of Champagne. It is in the France northeast.

My car is a rev 1 MK2 3SGE motor of 1990,red 3J6, and I buy it in 2001. It has 245 000 km (about 150 500 miles). Completely stock, I just put it 15 'wheels and a Sebring exhaust. We drive it every day.
I will bring you pictures as soon as I can, in 15 posts... :)

I’m a member of the french MR2 owner's Club, since 2002. And i participates at the different’s the meeting that members of our club organized, in France.

Thank you for your forum :D
Best regards,

Now with pic...
With 15' wheel's for winter, and all days:

and for summer and meeting, azev 17'

Very nice, love the wheels. Gives the stock body a nice stance :thumleft:

I thought the MR2 in France was known as the "coupe MR" and as such had an "MR" badge on the center panel instead of "MR2" like this:

:-k

Nice car though :thumleft:

Thank's

Yes you're right; but mine was imported from Germany, so it's “MR2” badge.

I saw here a remark on this subject and I tried to explain  :

Car Name: MR2

French Word for poop: Merde

See the similarity

hi,

Just for the MR2 logo.
But Toyota sold the MR2 in France and Belgium with the MR logo. Without the two.
Only 1178 copies for France, that's why you will not see a lot of MR with us.
Since there have been imports and we see the name MR2 ..
bye,

hi,

You are really lucky to have so many choices in your MR2 models. In France it’s not the same story…

I'm looking for a particular model by browsing through the many ads on this forum and the piston heads, for a while now.

If someone is selling, or know someone who wishes to separate from his MR2 rev 5, think of me.

I am looking for an original model turbo (1999, Gts or Gt turbo), in good condition with the rev5 rims original and t-bar (I have seen many no t-bar for these models).

The chassis number should be between 113409 and 114560.

bye, 8)
