[Mk2] [NA] Gearbox trouble urgant help please!

I have a rev1 n/a and have just changed the gearbox to a rev3 due to a worn down 5th gear.
i brought rev3 drive shafts, but when i went to fit them yesterday could get them to fit for love nor money, the end is splined, but when examing the gearbox there was nothing for the splines to go into, its solid.
have i been give the wrong/dud gearbox/drive shafts? or am i beeing a mong?
please any help of advice!

when you say solid, do you mean there are no holes for the shafts to fit into?

I think you need to take a pic and post it up.

Unless you have bought turbo drive shafts and trying to fit them into a N/A which will never happen.

there are no holes for the drive shafts, when i brought the gearbox and shafts was told they were both n/a, maybe have been miss informed? will try and post sum pics.

No it doesn't, is that a turbo box? trying to post sum pics atm but my fone wont let me

Auto or manual? things are looking up.......... not! lol
everything else has matched up fine on the box apart from the shafts, thats why i am a bit bermused by all this
(i have a manual if makes any difference what so ever?)

Stuck between a rock and a hard place, can't post pics to explain what i can see.
but the gearbox i took off didn't look like that picture, looked the same as the one i put on, but never checked where the driveshaft went in, and now got rid of the old one so can't even compare! what a nightmere this is beeing! lol

will post these up in a few mins. But it looks like the person you bought these off has left some of the old drive shafts left in the box.

Bottom pic = part of the inner joint which needs to be pulled out of the box

Didnt even know that was possible! but make sense will try and get them out no doubt it will be a pain like every thing else! lol cheers for all ur help!
