Breakers in Kent / Essex

Anyone know of any breakers who have lots of MR2 bits and pieces?

When I got the Scooby I used to go to a place in Norfolk which was full to the brim with nice bits and pieces.

I realise the MR2 is a little older - but does anyone know? Or is it a case of keeping an eye on ebay and the forum?

IIRC he's in Plymouth

if its worth going then its not too far. My fiancees parents live in Southampton so its not too much of a hassle to combine both things.

Yes peter i asked him for some super red mudflaps for my mk1 and told me that mk1a's are black and dont fit b's which i was gutted about as i wanted front ones too. Turns out i think mine has had some bodywork which means i dont think the muflaps will fit.
The packaging made me laugh too, cant beat carrying a cheerios box though work with everybody looking at you..

Only reason the Mk1a front mudflaps won't fit a Mk1b is the side skirts, I think they screw into the same holes on the front wing.

Perhaps you will be removing the skirts anyway, to save weight Alex ?

To be honest i love the look of the side skirts, might not keep the standard ones might make some carbon ones but i cant see a massive weight save from that, although i cant comment as i haven't felt the weight in the standard ones.

Mine have been on & off like yoyos

Havn't weighed them but not a great deal there

I agree they look very good but worth taking off for the ultimate weight

i suppose yes in a pure track car, i like the look of them, and i cant help thinking what kind of differance it would make to aerodynamics with/without them.

I doubt they make much difference.

I am personally converted to not having them, I have had to replace my sills twice in eight years because all they do is hold water behind them.
