Post by gavinda »

im running quite a bit more than standard power and am looking for some tyres from a 275 to a 315. iv got michelin pilot sports in a 285 and have found them worse than when i had smaller toyos , but then the falkens are very cheap in a 295 at 160 a tyre anyone tried the falken 452? is the michelin more of a cruiser tyre is that why they are spinning up? :-k

R they somwhere between an r888 and a t1r? i cant find them in anything larger than a 265, which would be a bit to much of a stretch on my back wheels.
How long they lasting for u jim?

lasting well....
i give them death every weekend, still plenty of life yet, think ive done about 3k miles in them since janurary........

i run 255/35/18 on them, grip is amazing, better than the advan neova AD07s i had before (for traction), ill be going back to them for sure.
tho not sure i like the £450 price tag for a pair of tyres, lol.

edit, yep sure, there ment to be between the R888 and T1R

285 or 295 ideally can go down to a 275 my wheels are 18x12 so they are a bit stretched. any other brands do a semi slick like the r1r or is it only full on trackday tyres like the r888

Not in the same league as R1Rs imo.

Both are semi track day tyres, so will be pretty poor when cold.

AD07/08 are excellent on road and track, better than rs2 but not as grippy as r1r

Or, get R888 if you have the budget and don't plan on driving it in heavy rain. Need lots of heat though!
