The more I think about it the more confused I'm getting  he could not fit the hose to my engine ?, the pipe up the exhaust only went up 6" on one of 4 outlets, how could he know I was running too lean
He basically only had the rollers to go by, how so how could he know

he put a Lambda sensor into your exhaust, to monitor the air/fuel mixture. It looked like it was running way too lean, that's why he aborted the run, to prevent any damage. Too lean = melted pistons.

If thats the case why am I not causing an EML (Confused)

the ecu does not monitor full load fuelling..

yup a rev 2,when I first had it on the dyno it was only running .5 bar and no mods at 205 bhp,all runs were done at surrey rolling road.

nice. i'm happy with my torque mostly, but I have a feeling the quest for power has just begun. ECU is coming.. :>

if you find the chart i'd love to see it!

Rolling Roads are funny things, my bog standard Rev 2 made 230bhp in January on a power run to check all was well. Turns out he calibrated the rolling road rev counter by holding the car at 3k in 2nd gear but my dash rev counter is a little out so the BHP figure is screwed. Curve looked nice and fueling was as expected so thats all I wanted.

I too would hope for more than 225 from those mods as thats what I have in the pipe line for mine, was hoping for around 240 at stock boost with a downpipe, mongoose exhaust and chargecooler similar to the ST205 (cant fit my ST205 core as I dont want to loose the TC). I have heard removing the cat and fitting a good exhaust works wonders.

First one's at the wheels and the rest should explain themselves, this dyno run was done with a bunch of others from the imoc.

From memory I had an MBC at that point (gts chris one),wanted .9 bar but didn't happen that day hence I now have a gizzmo, was told .9 should be around 250 which was the aim of the day, wouldn't mind at some point getting hold of a ct20 with a decent decat myself as it does run at of puff early on :thumleft:

Will old readings too in a mo.......found it,link to old thread with standard but .5 bar readings, hope this helps in some way http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic. ... highlight=

Sorry I had to go after my dyno run, was hoping to see more of the MR2s but time didnt allow :(
The car has a VF35 turbo, 550 injectors and 3 port solenoid. mapped by race dynamix.
My figures for the scooby were:
300.4 BHP
320 torque
1.5 bar

The figures are vastly improved after previous dyno day at Clive Atthowe's with a pressure leak but still short of the 335+ I was hoping for. The dyno highlighted a map problem which shows the value of these dyno days. A tweak of the map and should be there.

Thanks to the organisors for allowing me to take part and getting an early in.
Mike

You should of just cranked the boost up to 16-18 psi and see what it makes, should be plenty of fuelling for the ct20 even on the 440cc's

I cant remember exactly as I dont have much to do with stock engines but im sure the AFM only sees to about 12psi or so then the injectors go to 100% duty, thats why they always tend to run rich, so putting a bigger turno on starts to lean it out but ct20 or a hybrid wont lean it out enough to cause detonation.

I used to run 16-20psi on a upgraded ct26 with a T04E compressor wheel which flows alot more than the ct20 in my experience, never had a problem running lean, I ran a td06 turbo at 1 bar on a 440cc rev 2 setup and then changed to the rev 3 setup with 550cc's

Just turn the boost up on the dyno and have them use some det cans if your worried.
