my oil pressure gauge is on the bottom, do you think this is a problem? i don't want to ruin my engine.

Is it low from cold start up?
If you can't see the angle, you're in trouble.

Re: oil pressure
if it is genuinely that low and you've driven it then you'll have already done the damage.
if its right at the bottom
(as in not rising at all) then its probably more likely a fault with the gauge.

or the connector come of the sensor on the back of the engine

If it was genuinely that low you would would hear the clattering from the big ends having run

i really hope so, i changed the gauge, its not that, ill check the wire connecting to the sensor, failing that it could be the sensor itself.

Re: oil pressure
More than likely to be the connector then, it has a tendancy for the wire to fray and fall off.
Happened on one of my Mk1s.
Fortunately you can replace the connector with a standard female blade crimp connector.

Re: oil pressure
This happened on mine
- was quite concerning as it'd go down at high speed then back up again to normal and then to nothing at all.
I adjusted the clip with a screwdriver.

I was bricking it on the A12 one morning as it just continued going lower and lower then higher lol
