just jack up the rear wheels mate, spin them, if they both go the same way, LSD, if they turn the opposite way from each other, non LSD

I heard a rumour that late rev5 NA's had LSD but this has yet to be confirmed as well.

Consider it confirmed. They were optional from revision 4, and IIRC the EPC lists them as standard equipment for about the last six months of production.

A lot of people with revision 5 S54 gearboxes are unaware that they have a limited slip differential because they are of the torque sensing (torsen) type. They're notoriously difficult to test for and you can't tell just by jacking the wheels up and spinning them.

my rev 5 has lsd from factory its helped in the wet and owners manual states it is factory ..

My local toyota dealer told me usually t bars and leather no lsd and sunroof with cloth lsd ... where he got that form i dnt know sounds waffle to me..

cheers Johnny, just checked and this is what it states:

"Your Toyota is equipped with a limited-slip differential. If one rear wheel begins to spin, the limited-slip defferential is designed to aid traction by automatically transmitting driving force to the other rear wheel."

so going by that it does have an LSD
