18" Tyre Size help

Post by Navz »

Hi all,

Would you know what the best tyre setup is for 18" Wheels

Fronts: 7.5J
Rears: 8.5J

I have currently the following on my 2 which seems alright:

Fronts: 215/40/18
Rears: 255/35/18

Should i change the rears to 255/40/18?

Should i change the sizes altogether?

I need to buy some new tires so what would be best?

Also any brands and tyres recommeneded for decent prices?

Thanks.

might look like tractor tyres. id leave it as it is unless its bothering you or you cant get tyres in that size (or its a lot cheaper to get another size).

remember the 35 or 40 is related to the tyre width (the 255). so the tyre wall on the front and rear is roughly the same as it is now. if you change the rears profile it will look bigger and may even rub (if you havent rolled your arches yet)
