Which Hub?

Post by Gavpulham »

I’ve been a member for ages but this my first post, therefore “Hi Everyone”.

Can anyone help me out? I was about to replace a wheel hub on my Mk2 G limited import when I noticed that the replacement hub I bought is different to the one its replacing, the splined hole through the axel shaft (inner hub) where the drive shaft goes through is 3mm bigger!! I then noticed that my drive shafts are different on either side, the diameters are the same all the way along the drive shaft apart from the thread on the end that goes through the hub, (where the crown nut holds the disk, drive shaft & hub together,) the OS is 3 mm fatter!?? Are the drive shafts supposed to have different nut sizes? &, when looking for another second hand hub what models had the smaller diameter axel shafts? Anyone got one for sale? :thumleft:

indeed they are! turbo has a support bearing on driver side half way along and different splines i think
