new boost guage instructions?? help?? pics included!

Post by jimGTS »

right people, heres what i got from good old speedhut!

now i understand how to put these pieces together (got instructions).
but i havent a clue how im gona put them on my car!!
also in the instructions it doesnt mention what color wires are for the lower connector on the instruction sheet (the "12+ volt dash lighting" and "ground", theres no colours in brackets), but in the top half it says the colours of the wires on another connection for these, so i can only asume there the same, so=black and white.

now where to i start with this gauge?????????
ps, ive installed my speedhut dials, so i know how to get the dash out etc.
other than that, im a novice at these things!
help!!

pps, what do the G and - mean on the bottom pic??? also, how comes i can connect either of the wires to either of the terminlas on these fat piece????

Hmmm... Only two wires to the pressure sender... means it's going to be a simple resistive element inside... (Think coolant temperature sender or cheap oil pressure sender)

Not the same sort of 'Electronic' gauge as say a Greddy / SPA etc which use a 3-wire electronic sender of similar quality to an engine MAP sensor. I suspect a normal mechanical gauge is going to be more accurate.

Those RaceX digi gauges use a similar sender to that speedhut one.
