Henry's white rev3 turbo

Post by hkwc104 »

Evening all,

My name's Henry and I've been a member on the forum for a while now and made the odd post but never properly introduced myself in the members profile section so thought I'd finally do so and post some pics up of the ol' gal.

She's a 1995 rev 3 turbo. Enjoy...

Very clean looking motor there buddy. White MR2s to me always look cool.

Tom's skirts too! Any further plans for her?

Enjoy the car :thumleft:

Thanks guys - appreciate the comments.

Immediate plans include getting the car fully polybushed, getting a matching Tom's rear bumper and a st205 charge cooler conversion.

Then later in the year, some interior touches (possibly new seats) and some further work on the engine.

polybush kit will transform the car! :thumleft:

you going for a Radtec pre-rad on the ST205 CC conversion?

Agree that white is the best colour

Would love to go for the Radtec pre rad but hear they are quite expensive and not quite sure where to source one from. Might have to opt for the ST205 pre rad as a compromise solution as I hear that the Fiat Cinq rads can block air flow to the main rad.

Hey, good to meet you the other day. Your car looked very nice too :thumleft:

Did you sort out the problem with your radiator and did you get your prothane bushes fitted?

yep radiator was replaced and polybushes fitted but only to the rear - there's only so many hours in a work day :) made a huge difference, looking forward to doing the fronts too.

Good to hear that you got the radiator sorted.

Can't wait to see what effect having the bushes fitted to my car will make!

Did fitting them get rid of the intermitttent steering wheel vibrations at motorway speeds you were experiencing or do you think you'll have to wait until you fit the front ones to see if has sorted it?

no change there - we'll see after the bushes. I guess bearings are the next things on the list.

Hey Henry - the front bushes + balljoints cured my wobble problem. Now it's smooth as silk and no weird feedback through the wheel. Hopefully the bushes will cure it for you!

That's great news Jan! Bet your car feels amazing to drive now!

Maybe I should let Luke know that changing the ball joints might help as well - though I'm sure with his expertise it will be on his list of things to look for. Hopefully it gets sorted whatever it may be.

Yeah man, it's definately worth doing while you have the suspension arms off. But I think your rear arms are done already :)
They're not overly expensive either (I think I paid something like 90 quid for all 4 corners from TCBparts). When they're worn out they will knock and make funny sounds over bumps.
