Is there no way to mod the oem lights to get a high intensity/twin bulb in ?
Or is that too much mod for the 86?

I thought that. But I'm just going to advertise mine for what I think it's worth. All the time it doesn't sell, I've got the use of a car that I value at that amount. Works out fine in my head :)

No, wouldn't like to do that. It's got brighter bulbs than standard tbh and the lights are bright enough. Personally I don't think it'd look good and really I want to keep the interior standard. I'm still trying to work out getting OEM decals or at least some made to suit to help complete the look.

As long as you enjoy it, it doesn't matter. I think it's madness though to modify a car to the hilt then flog it as you never get the money back, but some people just really enjoy the process of the build etc.

Presumably though, as you have an aftermarket foglight, you also somewhere have an aftermarket switch in the cabin?

You could do what I did with my MR2 and get the rear foglight switch from a UK car. Best of both worlds!

Yeah it is madness! May as well keep it. But totally agree though. Some get bored once finished and want a new project. Can understand that, but you have to be prepare to lose a packet!

I think Danny was talking about what I was thinking in that you could modify the oem o/s rear light cluster/bulb holder to fit the fog light in. Is that right Danny??

If you wanted to keep a fog light, maybe get a tidier one?

Yes, thats what I was thinking.
The Roadster has the same system but the MR-S version doesnt so all the imports have to have an added fog light.

It's an idea Craig.

Not really into modifying the cluster. I never, ever use foglights, so more likely just to remove it for the most part.

It's a thought. I actually am using a standard switch, but it doesn't light up so no idea how it passed the MOT. Maybe I could replace the front foglight switch which is utilised at present with a rear foglight switch. Or is the case that UK cars have a light on the dash?

Balls!

Have noticed he's painted the rear bumper in gloss black. It should be satin black like the front bumper and side skirts. Will have to be re-done I think.

That's the fog I use.

Run 4 brake and tail on mine. more brake lights can't be a bad thing! :)

Shouldn't have passed MOT with no illumination. UK cars should have an indication on the dash. Hence why imports need an illuminated switch.

Are you made of money lol, or just say he painted it not as agreed and have it re-done under warranty?

Well, I didn't expect him to paint it gloss black, thought he would have realised it should be satin as that's what it was before(!).

Fair enough, just hope you can get it corrected under warranty.
