Jan's rev2 turbo - It's about time I guess!

Post by cvega666 »

I've posted here for a while so here goes! :)

HI,

I've posted a couple times so it's time I introduce myself!

I first started last year with a red (more like pink) rev3 NA which was bought for a princely sum of 800 quid with some problems.....

Shocks all gone, etc etc etc. Spent quite a lot on her but secretly wanted a turbo! So sold later on to a happy chap who seemed to love it.

So after almost a year I bought a Black rev2 turbo which has gone an extensive rebuild by the previous owner - Forged Wossner pistons, chargecooler conversion, rebuilt CT26, etc etc too long list!

Here she is when I bought her (that's my housemate's 911 in the background :D):

Currently debating whether to invest in a standalone mappable ECU and a bigger (new) turbo kit.

Possibly in the future - but it would need rolling arches then. And I quite like the ride at the moment, it's already on lowered spax springs (or something like that).

HKS silent Hi-Power exhaust fitted. Massive thanks for Luke and Nick at Pacific for fixing the flexi and fitting it despite the fact they were exhausted with their garage shuffle (moving shelves car lifts etc).

Car is soooo quiet and civilized now!

I need a new front bumper, current one is cracked  . Maybe a aeroware front lip. I'm not to keen on bodykits, I think the 2 is perfect as it is. The main thing is the rev1/2 spoiler - I never liked it, so might get rid of it and make it spoilerless OR rev5 or MG ZS 160 spoiler.
Since the engine is forged, I am heavily thinking about a nice GT ballbearing turbo, external wastegate, some Link ECU goodness and 800cc injectors.. all in time! :) First i need some holidays!

Cool. Mine is kitted, but I've somewhat gone off bodykits now and contemplating putting it back to standard body. It looks great as Toyota intended :thumleft:
