being honest, I doubt you will get much more than £500 for a 3SFE mr2.. it probably wasnt worth spending the 370 MOTing it

Got to be worth 500 quid as a runaround taxed and tested though, I`d rather be driving around in a 500 quid FE than a ford fiesta. I think the spoiler and fogs would have been added at some point? Not the best place to advertise an FE on here, I sold mine for 350 quid a few years back to get it shifted. Stick it in the local paper as a 2litre 16v MR2 and `forget` to to mention what engine it has?lol..

If you broke it for parts you would probably make a bit more money, but yes this is an MR2 site and everybody on here knows the 3SFE is not the most desirable engine to have, it is the lowest powered, that will be your problem advertising it on here. Maybe someone might want a project to whack a V6 or turbo lump in it though?

Having owned an FE I know they are actually still damn good cars, mine was reliable and no doubt someone will have a bargain with yours if they buy it. It looks clean and well kept, and taxed and M.O.T it would be a nice motor for the summer. Good luck with the sale.

Try ebay or pistonheads, you may have better luck if you write a good advert with lots of pics, stick it up for £695 you may get interest.

Tbh tho, £400 for a rev 1 with no engine and £750 for an fe engine are both way too much, just bought a w reg mk3 for £450 with a blown engine.

Rev1's are over 20 years old and £500 with t &t is all its money, but as said previously you may struggle to sell it on here as the minimum folk want is the ge engine.

Good luck chap.

£750 to buy an FE engine - whoooah, is that antiques roadshow prices, christ i could only get £250 (ish) for a rev3 3sge engine, and couldnt sell a low mileage rev2 turbo engine for £550
