[Mk2] [Turbo] Changing rear pads - brake fluid?

Post by Hunders »

I'm going to attempt to change my rear pads today. This will be my first attempt at this job so I was wondering if it's a simple case of taking old pads out, screwing piston back in and replacing with new pads. Or is there any other things I should be aware of?

For example, would I need to clamp the brake line after winding the piston back to stop it coming back out? Would I need to bleed a bit of brake fluid?

Cheers people.

You won't lose any fluid at all. And no need to clamp any brake lines.

Only thing to be aware of is when winding the pistons back in is that you'll be pushing the brake fluid - so make sure you remove the cap from the brake fluid reservoir and be aware that is could overflow (so remove some from here if necessary).
