Braided brake hoses

Post by Harold »

Does anyone know where I cam just buy a pair for the front?

Strangely I remember seeing them on the rear of my car but they're not on the front. So I only need the two fronts, the standard ones are pricey at £27 each considering you can get a full set of 4 hel lines for £65.

hi there , yes mate , i was looking for the same thing 3 weeks ago for my MR2 and it was like 27 squidarooney a flexi , so i got on google and found this company called " brake-lines.co.uk" and they did front only , back only or all of em .

i got 2 front brake flexi hoses for 27 quid deliverd and they where helix stainless steel aswell , plus you get to choose your colour aswell.

so from this place the grand total inc delivery was 26.99 for 2 front hel stainless steel flexi hoses fantastic price , go get em . Kind regards R6 rider :)

I'm not impressed with this company at all, I ordered on Sunday and emailed them to say that I needed the hoses by this Saturday so I could pass my mot re-test. I had a reply back saying they would try to get them to me, since then I haven't had anything through from them. I have tried calling several times over the past couple of days and I doubt very much that there is anyone to answer the phone, it simply rings a few times and then goes through to a voicemail and you can't even leave a message as it's full.

Considering the order confirmation email says to expect delivery in 2-4 days this really is a pisstake and will effectively cost me £30 as I'll have to pay for a new mot test now.

Googling the company name brings up lots of results from other forums with the same issues, no one answering calls, full voicemail and brake lines taking weeks to arrive.

Arrrrrrgh.

i am really sorry to hear this , i feel a bit guilty now , i orderd mine from here and i admit , i was worried when i orderd from them as the website didnt look up to much , just they came in a jiffy bag on time and so all was good .

please understand i gave you this address as my experiance with this company was good , they fitted no problem and they came on time. there is no reason other wise to avoid them for me . one thing was kinda unprofessional and that was there was no invoice in the parcel they sent , but i had a confirmation email and that was enough for me.

please accept my apolgies for kinda being partly responsible for this inconvieniance you have . apologetic regards R6 rider

No apology required buddy, you just made a recommendation based on your positive experience. I'm sure it'll get sorted out, and considering that if you buy HEL lines from camskill they advise a 2 week wait whilst they are made, then perhaps it's not so surprising that i haven't had these yet.

Also strangely, i've discovered that my car has three braided hoses, it's just the offside front corner that is standard, how odd.

Thought I'd update this, fortunately I did get my lines. I emailed the company asking why I hadn't received them and the reply was that the colour I chose was out of stock so I chose another colour that was in stock and they arrived a few days later.

However, had I been notified that that colour was out of stock at the time, or if there was anyone to answer the phone, (especially considering I'd specifically told him I needed them urgently) then I could have chosen another colour and wouldn't have had any problems and been a much happier customer.

There was a bit of a bonus also, I only ordered a kit for the fronts but the whole 4 line kit arrived, not sure if this was intentional or not though.

So to sum up, great product but poor communication, and they should answer the bloody phone. As long as you don't need them urgently then I think you'll be fine to order from there.

They will make a one off, or a set, whatever you need,
