ive noticed this alot recently with others with the apexi GT......

they dont look the same as mine.....

do i have a NEWER apexi GT, or OLDER version or something??

my can is supported via a metal strap with the apexi logos on, this then attachs to the mount...
on others i havent noticed ANY straps on there, and would asume the support is just welded to the tip or something and attachs to the mount this way.....

can anyone confirm why mine is different to EVERY other apexi GT exhaust ive seen on the mr2?????

this sucka?

thought id update this....

am going back the PP PRO exhaust, lol...

apexi gt is very loud, tho i dont expect the PRO to be much quieter, im changing back to see how things go.

pro will be getting a nice polish, and bbq/stove high temp paint for the mild steel to help protect....

plus be good to go back to a twin exit for the summer and shows :eye: :thumleft:
yes it weighs a ton, but am sure ill find other way to drop some more weight.
:eye:

asuming im happy with the change, the apexi GT will be up for sale in a few weeks id guess. (its as mint as the day i put it on)

yeh ive seen alot of the reg's about for sale, but not the PRO..

this one also has the first half a foot or so that attached to the stock downpipe cut and widened to match the width of the flexy i guess to help flow, and a wideband bung also.

Actually Went from a motoria to a Nur Spec then about 2 days later a Dep 2 Pro came up for sale so got that, put it on and sold the Nur. Motoria is still in the garage just incase.

Size difference compaired to the Motoria, notice how wide the pipe work is on the Y peice compaired to the Mot!! -

Fitted

Noticed an improvement when fitting it as well, nur spec seemed to not be as responsive low down :thumleft:

i spent yesturday getting the SPL phoenix power PRO exhaust back on, still needs more polishing, but easier to do while on the car to be honest.
wet and dry sanded the mild steel as best as i could and painted with some stove/bbq spray.
only thing i knew that would remotely deal with the temps it gets.....
pretty pleased
paint needs some tidying where it joins the cans, but again, easier to do when on the car.

it is quieter than the Apexi GT but in a nice way, still is mental at full throttle, hopefully give me less headaches
plus looks cool for sure.

heres youtube vid if anyone care for sound
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1y8W_WvLjpE

i did notice the rather large difference in size of gasket on the PP pro compared to apexi GT, the pro goes straight to nearly 3.5inchs after the flexy! and gets wider still once it reachs the cans.
the apexi gt stays at 2.75-3inchs for a good 3 foot before getting larger just before the can.
probably dont make a blind bit of difference, but interesting none the less.
