Unfortunately for sale Mr2 Mk1 import

Post by Diamond_Bolt »

Hi all

some of you may have seen my car or my threads but I have now decided to put my MR2 Mk1 1989 up for sale.

Its an N/A 4age with a bit of a weird history if you go onto my thread your'll understand why.

Its 3HK red and seems to be quite a rare colour
http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic. ... highlight=

I does need abit of work and I will post the new pics up of the matt black spoiler and splitter and side vent.

Unfortunately I am selling it as I no longer have the time or money for this car and would much rather sell it to someone on here for cheap and see it go to a good home as it is a brilliant car to drive but atm the sidelights do not work (fuse keeps blowing and I do not no why) and the interior light does not work. Also there is knicks and knacks in the body work and this will need new Tyres (wheels really as the ones on it are corroded).

Im looking for around £800 O.N.O

Won't a MK2 be at least the same to insure?

That colour is indeed a rare one. =P~

lol nothing wrong wiv being greedy  .

Im 21 and the insurance on a mk2 is 1200 cheaper than the one I have now for me most likely due to age of car, it being an import etc etc.

I'll live with walking or sponging a lift from now but I will be on this forum pretty much every day as its one hell of a forum and I will be purchasing a mk2 from here in the future hopefully

Actually interesting point, a UK NA MK2 would probably be cheaper to insure, and they're pretty much the same price now.

Being an import wont make any difference if you talk to the right insurers

Hi all

Just to let everyone know that the car is not for sale yet as this morning i have had a meer and the car had gone up in smoke when I put the 15amp fuse in the box and an earth wire has melted alot so i do not feel safe selling this to anyone atm. Tonig Im sorry for wasting your time but I am going to get an electrician to re do the wiring and then I will put this up for sale.

Thanks all and sorry for wasting your time

I don't think your are wasting anyone's time to be honest, You have found a dangerous fault with the car and you are getting it fixed.

Well done to you, the world would be a lot better if more people were as honest as that :thumleft:
