There used to be a topic on people attempting to re-write / re-map the stock ecu, it was worked on over here and the usa.... has anybody got the link to the topic... thanks

the guy doing it stopped doing it however on twobrutal.co.uk someone else had successfully hacked into the ecu

As Fourveesix said, I've been working on a re-programmable stock ECU. My work has been on the Rev 3 ECU, it's a completely separate project from the earlier re-programmable Rev 2 ECU project that died a year or two ago.

I now have 2 working prototypes, below is a photo of the 1st prototype.




It's been designed to fit inside the standard ECU case without any lid spacers or other case modifications.

There's an additional board in the works that will add an USB interface to allow re-programming and real time diagnostics.

wow that took ages to read about the ecu, glad i did though. what a great project! wish i was a better electrical engineer.
