rev 3 rear lights conversion

hi there a novice question,i bought a set of these lights to fir my j reg mr2 the lights part was fitting all ok till i came to teh middle section with the reversing lights,the problem was they didnt fit due to the panel has no indentations for it,so dilemna is do i cut a hole in the bodywork to fit reversing lights or do i do without them,if anyone can give me some sort of idea how they went about doing this would be much appreciated.

and ive also noticed ive got no way of fixing the lower part of the centre section to the bodywork,any ideas

Regarding the reverse lights, the center section (metalwork) has to be bashed back with a rubber mallet to allow the reverse lights to fit so you don't mark the paintwork. Also be careful not to distort the boot lock.

The panel attaches to the car with 2 L shaped brackets affixed to the center panel.
