[Mk2] [Turbo] Engine bay fan ecu controlled?

Hi all

I remember reading a while ago that on a rev 3+ the engine bay fan is controlled by the ecu as well. Unlike the rev1/2. Is this true?

Not as far as I'm aware. The fan has it's own standalone ECU and reacts to the temperature measured by the thermistor on the engine bay cover. There is a connection to the ECU for the cooling fan, but this is likely to be for electrical load idle up.
