Hi girls, i am new here so i thought that introducing myself would be a good first step

In fact i always wanted AW11 since i got my ST182 celica for more than 1.5 year but i have never thought of getting one in near future.

I was looking for another decent Celica so i could rebuild 2 Celicas into a good one

(my current one is good but i has been severely damaged in a crash and will never be as good as it could be bodywise).

Then i came across this AW11b and i had to have it! The price was reasonable and several days later, we were blazing towards the seller with a trailer and a Nissan Navarra

Now to introduce my car:
It is a 1989 AW11b, black colour in a let's say moderate condition

(not particulary bad, but nothing i would show off with

)

I bought it about a month ago and it's still in the garage waiting for registration.

It is german car, sold to czech republic years ago and towed on a trailer to slovakia

So the first thing i hope goes well is the registration.

Initial conditions:

*Alternator passed out

(cooling fan

+ battery warning lights were on)

*Front ARB is mounted only in one bracket, the second got snapped rusty bolts so i might go for an upgrade here sometime

(i have read thatMK2 front ARB can be fitted)

*Drivers power window is working but i would say it doesn't want to be moved.

*Windscreen wipers do not move.

Well they do but the movement is about an inch towards a bonnet

(wrong direction, i don't want to wipe my bonnet

)and then they get stuck.

*Factory airbox and intake piping is broken, i reckon someone has crashed the back

(maybe i will get an original one from parts salvage or bolt on some KN direct intake to make it easy and effective)

*One of the rear lights has white plastic cover

+ really ugly homemade wire harness, the second one is dark with proper factory wiring

*Missing trunk lining

(im sure it has been crashed)

*Rear arches were repaired but

don't like them as they are.

Want to make it again and better.

*Some rust, no big deal

(at least until i will look under the paint to see the real damage)

*Targa doesnt leak!!!

*Albeit it's an AW11b it has triangular alloys, not teardrops

*Front support beam is rusted to dust

*TTE duplex exhaust

(pretty nice sound)

*Interior is a bit more than

"used", looks like previous owner did drive it with a sandpaper in one hand and a razor in the second but that's acceptable for 278.000km and 22yo car

My plans:

*Brakes

(Celica ST185/182 single piston

+ 277mm rotor fronts, MK2 rev2/turbo

+ 258mm

(AW11 front) rears, MK2 Turbo brake 15/16in cylinder, maybe some EBC's red stuff

+ 5.1DOT)

*Cut and weld any rust, strip off the old paint, do the rear arches

(widen them a bit), repair minor bends and stitch weld the chasis to increase body rigidity

(+replace the rusty front support bar)

*A quality

(boat hull quality) epoxy full coat

(wanted zinc/phosphate plating but i have heard that a good quality epoxy coat is easier to do and probably even better to prevent rust from biting the metal)

* XYZ suspension

* power engine rebuild

(forged

+ lightweight

+ ballanced)

+ CDi ignition

(approx 200rwhp with 9000-9500rpm N/A wanted)

* supercharger

(M62 from a merc to have switcheable N/A,S/C modes, approx 250-300rwhp wanted)

*Quaife ATB Diff

*polybushed suspension

*Maybe dropping in a tranny

+ drive shafts that could withstand the S/C torque would be a good idea

*15" red OZ ultralegerra alloys

*Red/Black Sparco R100 foldable seats

(originals are in very good condition but they are BLUE!!!! dislike)

*minor interiror mods

(TRD gerknob and oher useless stuff that looks good, i don't like the phalic stock gear lever

)

The plans are huge, but the most important thing is to get the car going and make it comfy, then the chasis, suspension, engine

I hope i will finish what i want until i get grey hair

(or get them while doing this project?)
I will proceed slowly because i haven't got the budget yet, but will build up some as soon as possible and do things according to available funds

I will gladly read your comments and advices.
