Which oil?

I recently changed my oil on my K reg G-Limted and was sold 10 40w but it now sounds tapety when cold but ok when warm. Should I have maybe used 15 40w? :idea:

10w40 semi synth like Castrol Magnatec is fine in my books. 15W40 is what I've put in very old VW's, not jap engines. You've just opened a pandoras box on oil choices LoL.

0w-30 fully synthetic castrol gtx thats what i use cant see past it

thats my bad not the best on the old laptop i will try to fill this in was using that oil in a mr2 turbo mk2 since decided to change engine tho.
