[Mk2] [NA] wiring loom, how hard can it be? lol

Post by mr2dave »

I was doing some work on my 2 a while back and long story short managed to cross and earth with the starter motor, as you might imagine this didn't go down to well at all with the electrics!
The engine wont turn over and have narrowed it down to an earthing faut......... somewhere!! but where is anyones guess! ](*,)

So was wondering if anyone has any experiance of changing the hole wiring loom? how big and easy/hard, and how much of a pain in the ass it is.

any infomation/advice much apreciated!

What wires do you have attached to your starter motor at the moment?

You checked all the fuses?

changing the whole loom is a pita id imagine, its bad enough stripping one out when breaking a car, i wouldnt wnat to put one back in.

better off getting an auto electrician to have a look if you cant find the fault

Have given it to a friend whos going to try and find a rectify the fault for me................hopefully, as am away now for about 4 months.

These things always happen at the wrong time :(
