Idle problem solved and new cam belt

Post by 10thanni »

I have seen several posts with idling problems as I had for almost two months. I took it to Pacific Works today and had my cam belt done and Luke also fixed the idling and generally tweaked it as if it were the simplest thing in the world. Amazing job, lovely guy, very professional and easy going. I can't recommend him more. I know I will be returning...the car feels great.

AND my kids think I have spent the day with Luke Skywalker - it's win, win, win!!! :D

Hi, I am not sure if I know how to explain it properly (am no mechanic) but essentially it was the idle which the AA fiddled with and shouldn't. The idle was going up and down like a yo yo for no apparent reason. I took it to Luke at Pacific and he took off the whole 'bit' and re calibrated it. He knew what it was just by me telling him the symptoms. Sorry not to be of more help but as I said...am no mechanic! If you are nearish, I would go straight to Luke, he'll have your problem solved in minutes. I read so many posts on here...the thermostat, this that and the other...my conclusion is leave up to the professional! :D

Best.
