Interesting, I've been pondering this myself for a good while now. Brought on when I got the Aristo and the mirrors are more purple than blue (I notice it anyway).

In my mind that doesn't look bad at all, I quite like it. I think it's difficult to make some thing look good, dead easy to make something look bad but I wouldn't bat an eye at black mirrors personally.

I'm thinking of doing it on mine. They're within the catchment of the glass / black trim area so in my mind it's not detracting at all. Interested to see what the consensus is other than it's your car so do what you wish riff.

I think on yours it's a.................................. :thumleft: from me so far, it actually ties in with the early rev colour scheme quite nicely on a yellow car.

Black wheels would be a NO! from me. Bit different if you had aftermarket one's (black wheels are still hard to look right on anything) but in my mind stock wheels painted black just look like stock wheels painted black -they do nothing to add for the effort. The stock wheels are actually quite appealing in my mind, a fresh coat of bright silver looks ace, but a coat in any other colour looks like a cheapo option to me. JUST MY 2p WORTH! Your car looks better with silver wheels than black in my mind!

+1

Black mirrors look cool, black wheels, not so much.

Also, 2tone with black roof would look quite good.

Black roofs are quite common now aren't they? I see so many cars with it done now. I was actually hoping to keep the black mirror idea thing to myself -but it's out there now! Might be the new thing.

aye, black wheels are rank, can't see the design of them properly, silver or white for wheels, there was a yellow Mr2 for sale(think it was ebay. might have been on here) it had black mirrors and a black spoiler(Rev2) it looked ok, the spoiler was a tad tacky in black but the mirrors looked nice :thumleft:

2 tone all the way!!!

Black mirrors certainly is not new.

If your going to do it, do the roof to, otherwise keep the mirrors colour coded.

Yep, got to disagree with others but my opinion and the black looks far better. I think that's the only time the stock alloys look acceptable otherwise they just make the car look extremely dated.(fair enough if you want the original look though :) )

Don't do it. If you're going to spray anything do the splitter, sills and spats yellow. Makes it look deeper and lower.

That said when mine goes in for some bits in the summer my wing mirrors are going silver.....

how cool is it that we are all so different, I always wanted to do the wheels black so that's a definite, also not keen on after-market wheels. got the mirrors cheap as my yellow ones were playing up and thought it would be a bit different and an easy heap fix and now really like them.

I do like the two tone with black roof but don' think I can be bothered.

Do agree with the yellow going deeper though, need a new front bumper so might invest in a body kit as long as I can keep it subtle, like the retro feel.

thanks for all the comments...
