Re: Dead Space 2
What's the wink for?

Right, the game!

It's just as good as the first one, new story going on, I wouldnt say the graphics are extremely better if at all, however they were good in the first place IMO.

It's now on a planet so there's more space although it now lacks a little of the claustraphobia that made the first one so creepy and at times, really hard.

New weapons, although thus far I've stuck with the ones from the first game that you get early on in this, they're still the most efficient killing tools.

I'm 6 chapters out of 15 down after this weekend.
Reckon I've put about 8-10 hours away so far.

Slight withdrawal symptoms at the moment.

who's seen the films then?
Watched both.
First was quite good, second not so much.

Come to think of it it, I think I have seen the first one but have no recollection what so ever of it

I downloaded some audio comics on XBL when I played the first one, it was oddly engrossing considering it was still images with sound over the top.

I saw some clips from the first film but decided not to bother.

Really looking forward to playing Dead Space 2, but I'm surprised there's not been the usual price war in it's first week of release.

Re: Dead Space 2
Yup, pretty much
£40 every where.
I intend to p/ex it in instantly when I finish for something else but I dont know what.

Word
I think this is the order:

- Watch the first film
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1267379/
- Play the first game
- Watch the second film
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1711366/
- Play the second game

Just gells into the games and fleshes things out.
Neither are bad at all, it's just that the second one has less gore etc.
I grabbed Dead Space for the pc in the Steam Xmas sale so I might start playing it soon.

(The same kind of thing was done with the Halo universe, three initial books to get you into the story.
.
Enjoyed them all.
)
