He said he mounted it in the rear centre panel I think.
I have put mine in the front trunk, but when the bonnet is shut the signal isnt fantastic.
Gotta have a play/move it around and see if I can get it better.

Where do you wire it to? How hard would wiring it be?
I don't have a clue about electrical things
BTW I don't have any of the original aerial on my car, will that affect how its wired?

you should have the original wiring in the same place I can imagine anyone removing it, just tucking it into the boot recess.
Have a look and see if any of the wiring is there including the actual aerial lead

My solution ...
I had the same problem with my aerial
!

I bought one of those active
'sharks fin' aerials on eBay
.
.
.
the sort you see on BMW's and the like.
It's designed to accept a power/live feed to increase the reception but workd equally well without.

I mounted it on the roof, which does call for cutting a hole etc, then connected the areial cable to the existing cable from the original unit to the radio.

Workd great
!
.
.
.
and I've filled the hole in the rear wing side fairing for a smooth look.

I don't see any of the original wiring in there at all.

My stereo currently plays cd's and can connect to my ipod by using a radio frequency either 88.1, 88.3, 88.5, 88.7.
