130000km from new (i think will have to check :thumleft: )

Im really testing the water with this, the car currently has the original map by dave rowe on it (set up for the side exit exhaust) which made 635bhp @ 2.5bar. My plan was to have it remapped to run less boost with the quieter exhaust and was going to go for 450-500bhp.

I still have the side exit exhaust and scoop so i can fit these and the car can go as is or it can go with the quieter exhaust and I will sort out the mapping once a deposit is in place. The only reason its not mapped is because i was going to break it for parts :(

£7500 no offers, its worth more in parts 07872531131 :thumleft:

Mr2

Post by dbiagioni »

I have 3 mr2s at the moment, no more when these are gone :(

Got to photo and list the other two but they arent as exciting as this one :thumleft:

Money spent on this :-k Chris did a few different builds while he had it so I think you could double your guess and then add some

In my ownership I have added:
Ko racing exhaust
Custom downpipe by toyota gt
HKS ssqv
Spark plugs (2 sets)
2 x oil and filter change
Dizzy cap, rotor arm, leads and a coil
Wheel nuts
Steering wheel
Gear knob and gaitor
Leather retrimmed seats and cards
A good stereo
New dash clocks with digital boost gauge
Raybrig headlights
Clear toblerones and rev 5 lower front lights
BC racing coilovers
Cantfinausername rear brake conversion with drilled and grooved rear discs
Rear cusco strut brace
Torsion bar
2x gearboxes (a member on here sold me a broken one so had to buy a different one) Both were fitted by toyota gt.

Yep add it up and its a few grand on top of what I paid

There is probably more i have added which iv forgotten the car is now where I wanted it to be, but sadly iv lost interest and need some space in my garage.

I also have a couple of copies of banzai from when it was featured and also a copy of maxpower on one of its older builds

Chris you know you want your mr2 back. You miss her  Hows the gtr?

Thanks for the kind comments James hope all is good :thumleft:

I must say I am somewhat puzzled by your description of the car that you are offering here.
You state you spent lots to get it right after buying it from Chris.
At the time that Chris was selling, I was another seriously interested party, but you bought it just before I made up my mind.
At that time it was supposed to be in perfect nick, so why did you need to spend lots to get it right?
Hope you don't feel this to be an inappropriate question
Reason for asking this is that I have heared/read this kind of remark several times now about highly tuned cars that were for sale: cars being offered by previous owner as perfect with loads spent, but afterwards the new owner when selling again at a later time, also states he spent loads again to get it right...

Well if you read the parts he has had done to it after buying they arent realy problem / needed parts except the Gearbox.. Most people do a oil / filter change and replace all the ignition parts when they buy a new car anyway. The car had a side exit exhaust so guessing this is why it had a custom downpipe and new exhaust fitted and the rest is just like personal stuff that he wanted to do to it (eg seats etc)

When buying a highly tuned car like this you will have to expect to spend some money on it i fyou know what I mean

Are your other MR2's all standard or are they modded as well? I realy like this one but I think that power will be a little overkill for a daily driver to work and back

The car was missfiring when i bought it and it was popping out of 2nd or 3rd aswell. It also needed a driveshaft, but i changed the pair as a precaution. Not really major issues 2bh.

I had to change the exhaust as it was way too loud. I ended up sitting in the car cracking windows open, sticking a beanie and hood up and eventually ear plugs

The rest I have added to make the car my own, if that makes sense.

The other two mr2s, one is a red rev2 turbo (its in the bodyshop) and the other is a rev3 na. Both lightly modded. I will list these separatly but im flat out getting a project house finished so wont be till later in the week :thumleft:
