Only these in the game...

Toyota MR2 1600 G '86
Toyota MR2 1600 G-Limited Super Charger '86
Toyota MR2 G-Limited '97
Toyota MR2 GT-S '97
Toyota MR2 Spyder '99
Toyota MR2 Spyder (6MT) '02
Toyota MR-S S Edition '99
Toyota MR-S V Edition (6MT) '02

So all mk2's are rev5's, only seen one in a race, not seen one to buy yet.

Annoying thing!

I have an R32 GTR, few little mods including a turbo kit, and it's got an annoying dump valve noise coming from it, not only when on WOT gear changes, but when changing down gears going into corners, even when no gas is on :|

I have seen them up for a sale a number of times now in the used car section. I haven't bought any MR2s yet though.

Doesn't look like any of the mr2s are premium. You can't change the wheels on a standard model :pale:

Has anyone tried the course editor yet. Don't bother! What a massive dissapointment.

I also bought a fully customiazable gearbox for my old school skyline. It doesn't seem to be fully adjustable though.

Also has anyone tried racing their home made cars yet. I made a lobby and couldn't find them. You might have to set them as a favoutrite though to see them online. :pale:

No MR2s will be premium as they are lifted out of the old game.

Mark had a go with the course creator. Was okay I thought, though there is a limit to what you can do really.

Think you are probably right about setting cars you want to use as favourites as that seems to the case in arcade.

Has anyone had a go at the Loeb Special Event?

Jeez. Took me loads of goes at the first gravel one. Eventually got a silver somehow.

The next one round the Nordwand was something else. 6 seconds off bronze and it goes on for ever.

Then there is Chamonix. Bloody hell! Err, I'll come back to that one.

Also got a bit stuck on the grand tour on the Tuscan night race. Bit of a problem here, I can't see where the bloody road goes, it's too dark.

Certainly a challenge I'll give them that!

Also need to finish off the Special licence. I'm guessing the last few of those will be fun.

I did the tour of italy one starting with the Alfa 8C then moving onto a fezza and a lambo etc. The night race was a tad frustrating as its bloody hard to figure out where your going!

You guys managed to do the lotus one yet?

Also just bought a NSX LM Road car for 450k credits! im down to 350k left after that but man it looks good and handles excellent! Painted it in a nice lime green.

One thing that really annoys me though is that you cant change rims on a standard car! ](*,)

For those of you who use a control pad with this game, what are you using buttons with for gas/brake? Im using the triggers and also i have started to use manual as opposed to auto box which give you so much more control over the car. In the past GT series i always used auto but with i had given some time to get used to manual as its so much better.

During all the previous versions of gt i've used the sticks for accel / brk and the shoulder buttons for gears. I used this setup through the forza series as well. I had to change to the shoulder buttons for accel / brk on forza3 so i could use the clutch.

I've changed back to the sticks for accel / brk now as the trigger buttons are crap for control on ps3.

I've used manual ever since GT1, it doesn't take long to get used to it and you get far more control. It would be even better if the gear ratios were customizable.

Overall i'm gutted. GT5 isn't even in the same league as Forza 3. I can't see what's taken them 5 years to develop.

I can't think of one bit of GT5 which out classes Forza. The graphics are good, but i wouldn't say they were good enough to make any real difference between the two games.

I honestly feel conned.

We we're using wet tyres according to your lounge settings numpty, no wonder the lambo's looked like a Clarkson test drive  I checked after using the Motul Civic because it certainly handled better offline when I used it.

So far golded all the karting and TG events, The Loeb challenge was way too easy, Won his rally car then modded the Turbo up to 242bhp and breezed through the intermediate rally events, Golded the Gran Tour apart from the Lambo race at night (that is SOLID!!!)

Can only get 2 golds and 2 silvers on the intermediate Nascar, recon i'm gonna have to borrow a mates steering wheel for those.

(Yes, i'm a tight ar$e and using a Dualshock 3 still :) )

I did the gravel one and got gold first time by about a second. The Nordwand one took a few more efforts but finally got a bronze. The chamonix one, I don't know what it is with the snow levels but I am blitzing them.

I find on snow, if the flashing gear thing says 3, you can do it in 4th easily. I was 8 seconds faster on the snow than the gold time. On other levels, I beat the CPU by over 30 seconds.

The refered Focus reached the first corner 3 days before your Civic, the 38,000 credit soft racing tyres would have held on but unknown to moi at the time "someone" had replaced them for wets :thumleft:

Using the dual shocks i manged to get 2 of the 3 golds in the inter Nascar events.

I too would have a full wheel setup but placement and space is the issue rather than monies! :-k
