Car done in Vinyl wrap

3m is supposed to be the best stuff and they dont make gloss carbon, they say you can cover it it clear vinyl or clearcoat it but it would still be textured.

Im not buying that... id put money on 2k lacquer melting it. Will knock a batch up though and give it a go at some point. ive got some vinyl left over.

As for applying a gloss clear vinyl over it... as the carbon is tetured, wouldnt you get loads of bubbles between the two layers?

no idea mate just repeating what i read on a website that sells it, they dont recommend its done as it would look glossy but dimpled as it sits in the texture.

i prefer the matt look myself, seriously considering doing the whole car in it

looks good, i think i have decided to do the whole car, i agree that i doesnt look good on some cars (audi pictured earlier) and some look great, but i think with the curves and detail on the mr2, like the sweep of the bonnet, the door detail etc it would look good, i plan to do it in stages (where it doesnt look half finished)

so redo the bootlid, inspection panels, engine cover (looking forward to that - not), the bonnet and headlight covers and the roof/pillars like the sonic cars, then do the lower half all in one go

Hey matey he's based in barwell near Hinckley leics... But he does travel...a whole car wouldn't be a problem for him....

He's done work on all sorts of cars ferrari's bentleys etc etc

The rear spoiler on my tubby is looking a little jaded and i am so tempted to get it wrapped but cant decide wether to have a go myself or get it done professionally
