Hi i am a new IMOC member and i love my new MK2 MR2 that i Just Bought for 1200 Pounds And i am Very Glad to be hear for help and support for myself and to help anyone else in trouble, thing is i am the one needing help at the minute. I have a Mk2 Rev 3 N/A 2.0 Gti Automatic and i am still learning how to use the Auto xxxx stick, as there is Two buttons on it MAN and PWR.. what / how do i use them properly and how do i Economise and save fuel when driving ?Any good advice would be much appreciated Thanks :). also i live in Ayrshire Scotland and i would love to know if there is any monthy Meeting For MR2 Owners like me Nearby. And one problem i have at the moment .. I cant get the front Fog lights to work only beacause the switch is Broken.. is there a way i can buy a standard switch ( 3 Pronged ) and do a Diy electrical change? i know the original switch has 4 Prongs but most aftermarket switched ON/OFF only have 3 Prongs can anyone tell me how to re-wire a new switch on to get my front foglights on Please? :-k

firstly this in the wrong section but i'm sure someone will move it shortly.

With regards to the buttons for the auto, "MAN" is your best fuel saving option. "PWR"... is POOOWWWWEEEERRRRRRRRR :D basically with that mode on, it makes the pedal more responsive and will drop down gear once depressed about an inch or so. Also plonk your foot to the the floor (When it's safe to do so) and don't lift off.... you'll start bouncing off the limiter.. then lift slightly and press again and it changes gear.

Well... the above is how it worked in my Rev 1 Auto anyway..... it could of been broke for all i know lol :D

ayrshire eh? Another scottish member :thumleft:

No idea on the auto, don't have one but just get yourself another foglight switch from a scrappy and jobs a good un.
Meets, well usually the mr2oc has monthly meets but they used to be in Edinburgh / Stirling way so not sure what they're doing these days

Have meets at my house, most peeps mr2's end up here anyway! :D

As above just change the switch, I think I have a fog light switch if you need it. I'm in kilmarnock so just up the road.

With regards to the PWR etc, pedal response is the same as it's a mechanical linkage, but does hold the revs till higher in the rev band.
