Replacing the cluych on a MR2
I have a '91 MR2 that needs a clutch. Can any one tell me if the engine and trans has to come out of the car to replace it?

you don't need the engine out but u will prob need a hand to lift the box back in coz they a pritty akward and they get quite heavy when u trying to do it alone...

You have to undo the left hand engine mount and the front engine mount, take the clutch release cylinder off and drop the gearbox.
It is bloody heavy, but you should be able to manage it if you put a jack and piece of wood underneath when you take it off. then carfully drop it down.
Personally if you havent done it before, I would just take it to a garage and let them worry about it....for the sake of 100 quid..
