Rock Band Drums On Guitar Hero Games?

Also, when did Rock Band release the Green Day version? That seems to have completely passed me by! Any good?

Yes it works (well, it does on Metallica anyway) and don't buy Green Day unless you adore the band. I only got it for Dookie and ran it via RB2 so it worked out as a pretty expensive bit of DLC really, but I knew that beforehand so didn't mind too much.

RB3 is out end of this month, an absolute must-purchase game if ever there was one.

I do quite like Greenday although not claiming to be an ubber fan. I dont own any of their albums but have a number of singles kicking around in my MP3 collection.

the green day is quite good.. but i think they have got some much better songs.. but if you know there singles then you will know most songs on there..

rock band drums on guitar hero work but you only get 4 lanes unlike the guitar hero drums u get 5 lanes, also they arent velocity sensitive like the guitar hero drums.
the guitar hero drums can be had second hand for about £20 now and they are so much better

Excuse my lack of knowledge here, I have spent all of 10 minutes with the drums on any of the game...

Does this mean I wont be able to play properly on GH games with the RB drums? When you say 5 lanes on GH and 4 on RB, what is missing?
Does it mean I wont be able to play hard/expert?

You can play just fine. The game detects you're using an RB kit and removes a lane for you, you'll never know any difference.

you can play hard/ expert etc but its not as hard at all. i played guitar hero world tour on rock band drums until i got my guitar hero set and it was so much easier with the rock band drums.
personally i prefer the guitar hero drums they are quieter have better stick rebound and taller lol

IIRC the guitar controllers arent cross compatible on the Wii. Is that the same for the drums?

IE RB Drums not working on GHWT on the Wii?

My neices have a Wii with WT but no RB.

But what about the Wii, if the RB drums work on WT I might buy a set for the neices.

they didnt for the first month or so but then they released a patch for rock band to make them work but the orange cymbal isnt used

A few people have told me GH controllers dont work on RB.

I suppose if I bought them a set and they didnt work I could just buy them RB for Christmas
