You will need the hks wiring harness to fit that, then it'll be plug n play.

Grey wire is handbrake cut off. goes to the handbrake.

Brown wire is tacho / rev signal wire and attatches to the back of the rev counter behind the dials.

nah you aint gotta connect em
just means you wont have:
1. a handbrake cut off
2. without the rev signal wire to the tacho the unit wont calculate how long it needs to idle for based on input from the revs the engines just seen.

well ive had mine plugged in for a week, as I havent had time to get to the wiring, and it wont countdown. I connected the grey wire to the handbrake yesterday and still no good, so I guess the brown wire does need connecting for it to work.
Where does it connect to behind the dash ?

The IG- (ignition negative) screw, you need to put a ring end on the wire or twist it round the screw.

this isnt your problem though.

SO am I right in thinking that even with plug and play there is still some wireing involved along the line

Might sound silly but I have never fitted a turbo timer before

Thanks
Many Thanks
