[Mk2] [Turbo] Looking for a TUV Approved- Big Brake Kit. (Germans look here!)

Post by randomher0 »

The title says it all.

I'm looking for a TUV Approved big brake kit, designed for street use.
This means that the brakes doesn't need to be warmed up to achieve full function.

I've only found K-sport kits, but I've read somewhere that their coilovers break under heavy use.

Anyone know of any other brands? MUST be TUV approved!

maybe asking our German colleagues if they know of any kits? International forum area as http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic. ... 99&start=0 German forum http://www.mr2-forum.de/

I can't imagine what the costs would be :pale:

Sent a big mail to 3S Service today, hope they'll be able to help me.

As for K-sport kits. They would never be approved since the handbrake won't function.

I know that Tarox had brake kits TUV approved in about 2002, not sure if they do a rear brake kit yet.

Hispec Motorsport have a rear brake kit coming out in the next month or two that might be TUV approved. They're pretty good kits as they're all dust sealed etc unlike k-sport which they say are made to such a high accuracy that they don't need dust seals.
