Bluewater meet is getting out of hand.....

Post by Mikejc »

As expected we had a great deal more cars turn up tonight, i'm sure in part due to the recent J Tuner feature. Knowing this would most likely be the case myself and the good Franky set about making some welcome flyers combined with a brief history of the meet and the expected conduct whilst attending, all in the hope of keeping things under control.

The result of our efforts.......

For the most part I would say that we had some success in all honesty. Of course we still had the odd couple of fools playing up but I think we would have had a great deal more of them if not for the flyers. :?

I spent most of the night having a chat to those i'd not seen there before in part to just say hi but also to try and drum into all that this is a static meet and not a Max Power, wheels spinning, sound systems banging, flamer kit's popping kind of afair!

Unfortunately their are always as mentioned a couple of fools who are just un-able to resist spinning their way out of the car park! On this occassion i'm afraid that an MR2 (Black, gold spoked rims, smoothed Border front bumper, white graphics down each side) along with his friend in a Civic (black with after market front bumper still in primer). They could not have chosen a worst time to have done so either seeing as though the Bluewater security truck had just pulled out ahead of them and so see everything! =D>

So it was no big surprise when 20 minutes later Bluewater security came out and asked us all to leave!!! :(

So i'd just like to be amongst the first to say thank you to those few who have managed to ruin the meet for the many. A whole year of building this meet up has been screwed up in a matter of seconds by a couple of quite frankly, d1ck heads who were simply not able to control themselves despite having been handed a flyer asking all to behave! ](*,)

If anyone should know exactly who the two above mentioned vehicles belong to I would very much like to hear from you? (via pm). Bluewater security are also very keen to have words with the said pair regarding their reckless driving!

Could someone who knows how to please start a thread on the MR2OC club and attatch this thread to it

Best,
Mikejc

Is it over then??

Sounds a shame. If it is people will still turn up though (probably these idiots) as they won't have realised as they don't seem to be online. Unfortunatly Mike, you may have to organize things properly(no offence) what I mean is people who stand by the entrance to tell them what is acceptable, actually going over to these idiots and telling them to stop or they can leave.Actually esorting them to parking spaces etc Taking reg no.s and passing it over to the security saying these nobs have been told to leave/stop acting idiotically. So at least they are aware these people are unwelcome and not directly related to the normal decent meet goer's IYSWIM. Also shows you are trying to deal with it.

My mate had similar problems with his ACE CAFE meet. He did that. Even got police involvement a few times. They came up with their new traffic and off road cars, every so often, to show. They also kept an eye on things. The MET are good like that. However my mate did have loads of meetings with the chief etc so he went high up and did it properly as the meets are basically promo's for his company etc.

I'm sure you have mates willing to help out in that dept? Even the regular meet goer's??? If you want it to last then it needs to be done.

My mate almost risked losing his event due to people getting more and more lairy. It ended up with people lining the street as people did burn outs (on a public road with traffic) to launches! They even roped non show goer's into it (these guys were trying to get home!) If they didn't comply to their request then the car got shook until it almost toppled!! Police came everyone got sprayed, my mate was trampled on as everyone tried going after the cops. Riot lot came and "dealt" with matters!

If people want to keep the event going then they won't begrudge helping out! It'll send the message across eventually. It took my mate only 2 months to sort it. Now the only thing people do are pop flames from the exhaust in the ACE CAFE car park. No one screams out of the car park etc.

It's not one of our cars (mr2oc) AFAIK, unless it's a low posting non paid member. If it does turn out to be ours I'll suspend the account. Never seen one matching that description (with gold wheels).

Jesus, there are some absolute willys out there  MR2 MK2 is now well and truely the kids first step on the Jap performance car ladder and now we have to pay the price. ](*,)

What now?

It might not be a member of either club tbh, if they've seen it in J-Tuner anyone could've turned up.

But if it does turn out to be IMOC related let me know.

Needs more than a word, his driving was stupid.. his actions may have
stopped our meet for good, if it is your mate. Tell him to post on here
and answer to us!

COMPLETE PALM JOCKEYS!! sorry to hear all the problems that are being caused by the minority showing off chavs that seem to think we appreciate them turning up and ruining the meet!

i hope it isnt cancelled and that the person/people responsible are banned and not spoken to again. [-o<

maybe a change of day and a different part of bluewater could be arranged so only genuine people are in the know about this meet again?? :-k

May Meet

I think the stickers and the Border Kit are new, been in the garage for about a month. I'm not 100% as i haven't called him yet but i can't believe there are too many black border kited turbo's with gold multispokes in the area.

And as i said i'll have a word, that will be sufficient !

I suggest your word with him includes the phrase 'don't go back', he upset a major meet last night and could have had it banned. There are a lot of grumpy owners who he probably shouldn't meet again...

Muppet

As per previous posts, i understand what is being said but unless there are guidelines how are people expected to know how to behave ?
Please don't tell me that none of you have ever had your car sideways, j-turned, flaming 360's etc

That is part of the car. That said this should all be done in the correct circumstances.

Had someone explained the guidelines for meets such as this from the onset do you think people that want to behave like this would turn out ?

Nobody wants to destroy anything and i can only apologise if this is the case.

Maybe meets should be arrange by PM in the future. At the end of the day anyone can view these boards and i could trun up in my £250 shatbox xr2 and tear it to pieces until the 5'O arrive.

Just a thought
Russ
