.........don't you think it's really cool like when you see another MR2 (normally mark 2) go past you you like wave or flash your lights at the other car/driver.

It's a kinda mutual respect thing, basically you're saying "nice car, good taste", I think it's really cool, i've never known that from any other car or car make before.

I think it's cos
1: we all know MR2's are the BEST cars on the planet
2: there's alot less around esp compared to your average road car like a Ford Foicus.

Mine's my baby and i've always wanted this car more, even compared to a ferrari. After all a 355 is basically an MR2, just more expensive with a ferrari logo on it.

Do you all agree?? I mean on the subject matter.

Only waves I've ever got were from other mk2's the same colour. Was the same story with the silver Celica (RIP) I used to have. Unless it looks exactly the same I get the "What?" stare

Yeah, mk2's rock :thumleft: I've owned better handling cars, better equipped cars, etc etc, but the mk2 is EASILY my favourite car of the lot \:D/

must admit i only ever wave to MK1s.. mainly because i tried waving to other marks but never got a response.

I don't quite think a 355 is a rebadged MR2. ;)

I think MR2s are generally good fun cars, though i've driven much better cars if i'm honest, though the MR2 is a lot of fun and thats where i enjoy it.

For the age of our cars and the technology available at the time the mk1's are still great to drive. I know the mx5 isn't much newer but i'd rather drive a hardtop than a convertible anyday.

I had an MX5 Turbo and it was a lot more fun to drive than my MR2, lot more direct and precise.

I try and wave/ flash lights at any MR2 i see, but most of the time, you just get a blank stare or "what is that burk doing" look, which used to put me off, but then i thought s@d it, keep waving, so i do.

Its great fun i find :D

As to other cars, A6 and a few Rovers. My tubby is by far the best one ever, and i'm now looking for another one :D:D

OK so in the 10 year + age group you only really have the MX5... have to say I love the RX8..wankle is the way :)

I wave at all Mk1 and Mk2...(never bother with Mk3's) ...about 40% i get a wave back.

Drive a MINI - then you get proper respect from other MINI drivers.

You wave at all other mini drivers and they always wave back.

I've never known anything like it!

btw - this was my wifes mini which I used for a while...good laugh for small journeys.

Cheers

That sounds a bit too similar the what goes on with (the new) Beetle drivers and their plastic flowers on the dash [-X
