Is this car a rev 2

Post by bean »

Hi chaps,

sorry for this major newbie question but I am buying an mr2 as a project and have only seen pictures off it. The car is a 1992 G limited which from searching is on the borderline between rev. 1 and 2.
I'm just trying to source all the parts needed to make it road worthy and need to figure it out.

The only two pictures I have are these.

if someone could tell me what gen te car is that would help me put no end.

Many thanks :) Ben

Appears to be a rev 2 as it has the lower front splitter attached. The Rev 1s didnt have this.

Hard to tell as the front splitter could have been changed. Any pics of the interior/steering wheel ? .. ...looks a standard wheel from here but cant see which one :-k

Bodywork suggets REV 2

larger Front Lip
2 bars running thtough the 'MR2' sign on the black plastic bit between the lights
you can just make out the REV 2 + steering wheel

It looks like a Rev2, the rubbing strips are a darker shade of the main bodywork, rev1's have a black rubbing strip and I cannot imagine someone would want to go to the effort of swapping to rev2's when for the same effort you could have body colour Rev3's.
