[Mk2] [Turbo] Warning light after giving it the beans

had this problem for a while now so thought id better ask for some advice. my car is running sweet, ticks over nice and has all its normal power. but a second or to after going near the top of the rev range the warning light comes on and the disapears. has anyone else experienced this problem? any feed back and advice is appreciated :)

yeah I'd certianly be looking at error codes, knock sensor would be a prime suspect :-)

rouge will be able to read the codes if theres any there right? there only down the road from me.

was thinking about it earlier, and ive been running it on normal 95ron fuel while monies been tight. ill fill her up with 99 and change the fuel filter (its due soon anyway). cheers guys, will let u know how i get on :D

running 95 is a general no no and giving it the beans on poo fuel is bonkers! If you can't afford the right juice then either drive like Miss Daisy or get the fooking bus :thumleft:

Yeah...do the error codes yourself mate...simple job that every 2 owner should be able to do, when required. I only ever put V-power in mine, occasionally I might splash and dash at Tesco for a bit of their 99 ron stuff, but never 95...If you want to save a bit on fuel, turn the boost off. I can get 130 miles out of £20 if I hypermile.

it does make me feel really guilty filling up with normal fuel, definatly not a fan if it.

cheers for the link, that page is packed with info :thumleft: will give the code reading a go, seems dead simple!

my thoughts exactly, how can you run on 95!! your asking for problems, id rather pay out for the juice, much better than going bang.
