Are the turbo and N/A back box the same???

Post by DTMr2 »

Hello guys,
Just bought a turbo back box very cheap and looking at it,it looks it will fit my rev 3 N/A.
Am I right it'll be a simple bolt off and bolt on job for me????

The only difference I can see is the turbo back box has bigger tail pipes.

Any answers will be much appreciated.
Thank you very much.

No is the short answer. Unless your centre pipe has already been modded?

The turbo box has a central pipe where the NA box has a huge U bend over to the passenger side (under boot) then back across which holds the CAT, then a joint (all running parallel to subframe)

The next pipe is a j shape which go's over subframe to flexi and manifold.

Well at least thats how mine used to be as standard. All cut up now to accept a turbo backbox.

That and the fact the turbo's exhaust bore is bigger :)
