NA to SC Light Conversion Pics

Post by SuperRedMR2 »

I am never one to try anything that may be a bit tricky but I decided to put my supercharger lights on without any help yesterday and this morning. Its always satisfying in the end after you know you did it yourself

4no 6dia holes and 2no 26dia holes for bulb holders :)

Only problem I've had for ages is that the boot lid doesn't shut properly. You can move it up and down, it doesn't fully close. Any suggestions?

Check that the bolts holding the lock mechanism haven't come loose - same for the ones holding the metal loop to the underside of the bootlid

Check that the round rubber stops on either side of the boot lid are set correctly. They are adjustable, turning them clockwise (IIRC) lowers the boot lid height when it's closed, if they are screwed too far out the boot won't latch
FYI
The engine cover and bonnet have the same kind of adjustable stops.

Hi Chris,

Last year I arrived late and someone's car had already been voted best coupe...I had spent 8 hours the previous day cleaning and waxing mine only for the winner to say "im glad you didnt get here earlier" lol

I need to get my wheels refurbed, goodyear f1 tyres and some uprated anti roll bars then I think she will be finished.

It'd be nice to get a trophy and pass it on to the new owner as the car will be up for sale at the show :(

I told my girlfriend that i'll buy something more modern and safer as she doesnt like being in it even when I'm driving responsibly lol. But since the engine change I may keep it and buy a pug 406. Excellent economy on those for not much money and i could keep the '2 as a weekend car.

i drove my mates 425 (at fly) bhp rx7 on wed and it made my car feel crap. the acceleration threw me back into my seat! its not fair and now i hate him lol

I've always fancied an evo (4 seats and its modern :thumleft: )
